The Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor oversees the housekeeping team to maintain the environment in a clean and functional condition. This position provides a smooth and efficient operation by providing supplies, carts and equipment for functional use. Oversees and assumes responsibility of day, evening or night shift EVS operations. Supervises employees in daily operations and oversees the technical functions of the department. The supervisor creates staffing schedules, manages call-ins/scheduling requests and facilitates communication and engagement via huddles with the team. Staff evaluations are initiated and completed by the supervisor following and in collaboration with management review. Scheduled rounds are completed by the supervisor to ensure standards and adherence to acceptable cleaning practices are met. The supervisor actively promotes team-building, engagement and professional, effective communications between intra- and interdepartmental co-workers. The EVS Supervisor contributes to effective staffing by performing staff duties to ensure standards and workflow remain uninterrupted.
